Dr. Bottenfield was born in Pennsylvania. He graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1974 and served his internship and residency in Pediatrics at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. After working as a pediatric emergency physician in the Detroit inner city for five years, he and his family moved to the Brazosport area in 1983. He has enjoyed the private practice of pediatrics in Lake Jackson since that time. Over the years Dr. Bottenfield has been a board member of numerous service organizations and currently serves as a Board member and Medical Director of the Pregnancy Help Center. He also serves as a community preceptor and mentor for the UTMB School of Medicine and Pediatric residency program. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is an active staff member of CHI St. Luke's Health- Brazosport Hospital. Dr. Bottenfield has participated in over 25 mission trips around the world and continues to support many ministries both in the US and globally. Dr. Bottenfield is married to Darlene and has two children, seven grandchildren, and four Golden doodles. He enjoys reading, shelling on Sanibel Island, and doing yard work.
Dr. Collard was born and raised in Brazoria County and is looking forward to serving the community which she loves. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences at Texas A&M University and went on to complete medical school at University of Texas at Houston McGovern Medical School. Upon completion of medical school, she completed her training in pediatrics at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. She is licensed through the State of Texas and is board certified in Pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Collard enjoys building relationships with her patients and their families and has a special interest in preventative medicine and early childhood literacy. Dr. Collard lives in Angleton with her husband, daughter, son, and long-haired dachshund.
Lucinda Henry, our Certified Physician Assistant, has been a practicing Physician Assistant since 2006 and completed both her Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Laboratory Studies and Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. She maintains her Physician Assistant Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed with the Texas Medical Board. Mrs. Henry is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Texas Academy of Physician Assistants. She is also a clinical preceptor for various Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner programs.
Mrs. Henry has a special interest in clinical preceptorship, patient education and childhood obesity. She resides in Brazoria with her husband and two sons. In her free time, she enjoys boating and anything outdoors with her family.
Heather Rickaway, our Certified Physician Assistant, has been a practicing Physician Assistant since 2005. Mrs. Rickaway graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, TX with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and completed her Master’s in Medical Science at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She maintains her Physician Assistant Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed with the Texas Medical Board. Mrs. Rickaway is married and resides in Rosharon with her husband and two children. She is a clinical preceptor for the University of Texas Medical Branch and Hardin Simmons University. Mrs. Rickaway is dedicated to providing compassionate care to children of all ages and adolescents. She has a special interest in preventative well care, patient education, and asthma and allergies. Mrs. Rickaway enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and reading.
Kasey Atnip, our Certified Physician Assistant, has been a practicing Physician Assistant since 2014. Mrs. Atnip graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and completed her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. She maintains her Physician Assistant Certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is licensed with the Texas Medical Board. She is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Mrs. Atnip is married and resides in Manvel with her husband and two children. She is a clinical preceptor for the University of Texas Medical Branch and Hardin Simmons University. Mrs. Atnip has a special interest in preventative well care from newborn to adolescent, promoting patient education, and providing support to new parents. She enjoys traveling, attending sporting events, and gardening.
Melinda Friudenberg, our Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, graduated from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi, TX with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. She has been Board Certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certifying Board since 2017. She is an active member of Texas Nurse Practitioners, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Brazosport Area Nurse Practitioners. Mrs. Friudenberg is Secretary for our local TNP affiliate, Brazosport Area Nurse Practitioners group. Mrs. Friudenberg is married and resides in Richwood with her husband and two children. She has a special interest in providing patient education at wellness visits. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and going to concerts.
Ashley Voltz, our Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, graduated from Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi, TX with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010, and a Master of Science in Nursing in 2021. She is board certified through American Nurses Credentialing Center and licensed through the Texas Board of Nursing. She is an active member of Brazosport Area Nurse Practitioners, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Mrs. Voltz is married and resides in Sweeny with her husband and two children. She enjoys spending time camping, traveling and being outdoors.
Madelyn Roeder, our Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX in 2018, and completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas - Arlington in 2022. She has been board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certifying Board since 2022 and is an active member of Texas Nurse Practitioners as well. Pediatrics has always been an interest for her, and she looks forward to growing her career with her fellow coworkers here at Bottenfield Pediatric Associates. Mrs. Roeder is married and resides in Angleton, TX with their Labrador Retriever, Sam. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, fishing with her husband, long walks, and being outdoors.
Andrea Todd, our Certified Family Nurse Practitioner, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas in 2016 and completed her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas in 2019. She is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She has experience in infectious disease and primary care and looks forward to focusing her career in pediatrics. Mrs. Todd is married and resides in Sargent, Texas. She enjoys fishing, hiking and being outdoors.
